food issues at night

I need some tips/ideas...
During the week, I'm a school during the day and then work the evenings..I usually work ~4-10pm. During the day is great. I can bring breakfast and lunch and snacks and I'm set.
The first issue is planning dinner...sometimes I get a break, sometimes I don't. And eating before I go into work will not keep me full (I even try to keep a protein bar in the building so I can run to a corner and have that for "dinner"...usually doesn't curb me enough). Ideas?
Next issue: the nights I work, I will not be home til 10:30-11pm. I'm usually hungry, whether I had dinner or not. And this is where I spiral out of control. I'll make myself drink a ton of water, or maybe some juice or fruit...and still. want. to. eat. And usually when I go ahead and get something, I can't stop with a little. It's like I want a full additional meal (or the dinner I didn't get at all).
Help.

Are you eating enough?
If you are hungry you might actually need food. Are you sure your calorie goal is appropriate?

Part of the hunger is probably due to lack of sleep so acknowledge it as such. Plan something to eat on the ride home. A small sandwich or carrot or celery sticks with hummus or other high protein dip. This should help the food digest so you will be more ready for sleep when you get home.0

Sometimes I eat a handful of nuts late at night, or a cheese stick. Maybe try to work a small late night snack into your macros?0

Er. The answer is to stop thinking of your belly and don't eat anything.0

I used to have the same issue. I found that eating my dinner later helps a lot. I used to eat dinner at 6, and then would snack by 9 or 10. But I often work until 8, so I eat dinner then and then I am pretty good until the morning.0
