Okay, I ate 1179 calories today, and burned 110 calories on the wii fit. This is what I ate:
Breakfast: 1 slice of toast with butter
Lunch: Ham sandwich, 15 grapes
Dinner: Turkey breast fillet, Jacket potato without butter and a portion of baked beans
And supper: 1/4 Goodfellas stonebaked thin margherita pizza
=1179 cals.
Was it healthy?

that's all you ate? i would say no on the healthy scale because that little food isnt sustainable.
you'll probably be better off thinking about the long haul ie "what type of lifestyle changes can i make that i will be able to live with for the rest of my life" rather than how little can i eat0 -

without knowing OP's stats..how do you know it is not sustainable? 1200 does work for some people, shocking I know...0 -

My overall opinion: No. Where are the fruit and veggies? If you're going to eat so little, you should really try to eat as nutrient dense food as possible. Bread, meat, and starchy carbs aren't going to cut it. Sure, you'll survive and you'll lose weight, but you won't be as healthy as you could be.0 -
Where are your vegetables?
And unless you are EXTREMELY tiny (shorter than me, and I'm only 5'0") 1179 calories is WAY too little for you to be eating long term. You are going to lose muscle mass. I ate 1200 a day for a year, and while I lost weight, a good portion of it was muscle; now my *kitten* needs major squat therapy.0 -

I wouldn't call it super healthy or unhealthy. I think it's more important to focus on consistently making good choices and (JMHO) eating more vegetables, fruits, etc, than to worry each day "Was today healthy?"
I do think it sounds like a bit more than 1179 calories. I could be wrong. But the ham sandwich...what kind of bread? What kind of ham? What condiments, if any? I have a family member who joined MFP and would just type in a food, like "turkey sandwich" or what have you...and she claims MFP doesn't work. I saw her diary and there was a piece of cheesecake on it for 200 cal which was her giant birthday slice at Cheesecake Factory. They definitely don't make a full sized 200 cal slice there! LOL Doing that, you could have anything pop up from like 110 cal for a tiny little mini-sandwich to 800 cal for a huge mayo-laden sub. Strive for logging accuracy, if you tend to just go w/ whatever comes up quickly or sounds low.0
