Help! MFP is making me fat

By adding the "like" button MFP is causing me to burn less calories by typing thoughtful comments and making me fat!

All year I maintained my ideal weight while regularly burning calories typing comments like "good job" and "congratulations". Now that I can just use the new MFP "like" button instead of writing comments my calorie burn will decrease and I am going to get fat!

I know the "like" button is here to stay.

I don't want to get fat so my question is this:

How many "like" buttons to I have to click to make up for the calories I burned for each "good job" comment I used to type?

Hm, you should probably drop down to 1200 calories per day to make up for the difference. ;)

1200 calories for weight loss?! My god that's insane! I would never recommend above 500 per day!

Let's say the average of characters of your comments contained about 15 and you commented on a average of 3 statuses per MFP friend.
If you have about 100 friends that means you would have gotten 4500 characters a day.
So you could either up your friends list to 4500 and like 1 status update per friend, or 1500 and like 3 status updates per friend

    Do the math!
