Shin Splints

So I'm on day 10 of Insanity and my stupid shin splints are starting up again. Does anyone have any stretches or anything that will help with this? I'm realllllly liking Insanity and don't want to have to stop. Can you just "power through it" or will it cause bigger problems? Any suggestions/help is appreciated!

    Got this from an awesome sports therapist back in my dance days.... Get some surgical tubing or an exercise band. Loop it around a table leg or something similar. Sit on the floor with your leg outstretched in front of the table leg and loop the tubing/band around the top of your foot. Flex your foot, stretching the tubing/band. Repeat. Awesome for shin splints. But you may need to miss a few days to recover.
