Vegetarian - Protein Supplements without Artificial Sugar?

Hi everyone. I recently became a vegetarian and I'm trying to ensure that I still get lots of protein. While I'm eating good, healthy protein-rich foods, I'm looking for a protein supplement, powder or shake that I can supplement on days where I don't meet my goal. I already occassionally have Ensure or Boost and Balance bars. I'm wondering if anyone knows of protein supplements/powders that do not contain any form of artificial sugar, ie. Sucralose, Aspartame, Ascelfame Potassium (sp?), Stevia, etc. I am deathly allergic to artificial sugars and get very sick from them, and I am finding that is seems that everything out there contains one or more of these. Can anyone offer any suggestions? Thank you!! :)

Vega. It's a great formula, it does contain Stevia...but stevia is natural and not an artifical sweetener.

I have Genisoy Choclate Mixes rarely now because I'm trying to hit it with whole foods, but This is vegetarian and It doesn't have those sweeteners in it. But double check on the Nutrition page that they offer. My package says sweetened with Fructose.

Here we can buy it in the local vegetarian store or our Hannafords has it in the natural foods aisle. It may be less expensive online though.

Fructose is just fruit sugar. But it may or may not be processed (and in a protein powder, my bet is on processed.) But it's not chemically derived (like the "natural" Stevia), so unless you can't eat fruit, you'll probably be ok.

I use a plain old vegetarian protien powder and mix it with my own fruit or whatever. I also like to eat beans, lentils, tofu, I have a low fat cheese that is very high in protien... lots of other stuff I cant think of right off top my head lol. I have been vegetarian for 2 years now so If you would like any advice or recipies etc I would love to share what I know :)

Sld I'd love to know some bean recipes, I'm starting to incorporate those into my food choices/diet starting tonight because I want more natural proteins in it. I really like black beans flavor, but am willing to try anything that's not too spicy out.

I've been drinking Myoplex original. It's a ready made drink, they do have a powder though. I'm not a vegetarian, so you would have to look at the ingredients on that. But it's made with real sugar, because I don't use artificial sweetners.

I believe that Myoplex is a whey based formula...so unless she is lacto it's a no go. The formula I reccomended is actually vegan.
