I was 305lb, now I'm 180. I was 30%+ Body Fat (BF), now I'm below 10%.
This took me 4 years.

I tried every diet, they all work, but they also all fail in time --- plateaus, holidays, cheat days, peer pressure, laziness, life --- it doesn't matter. Diets fail. Most every diet included a boomerang effect at the end, and I was generally back to square one.
I've learned --- It's more about maintainable, sustainable routines. Eat appropriate for your activity (this is essential).

Here is my 2 cents. Don't diet. Change your lifestyle. Change your habits, slowly (very slowly if necessary). Find a role model, a famous actor/actress and research their routines, make it a challenge to you (from you). Mine was Ryan Reynolds. Know yourself and work with that.

That's me ... Nice to meet you all.
