Feeling lost...

I feel so lost at the moment with my weight. I'm 26, 5'5 and 10st10lb. When I first joined MFP a couple of years ago I was 9st4. I just don't know where to start or how to go about it this time. I don't have a gym membership as I joined British Military Fitness instead and I go to the classes 2-3 times a week which are enjoyable but gruelling. I'm fairly happy with the amount of exercise I do but it's my diet I really struggle with. I've had depression and done fad diets which at the time worked well but I think they have contributed to my weight gain in the long term. I'd like to get back to a size 10 so approx 9st but I feel so daunted with the prospect of needing to lose 24lbs.

Any advice very welcome with getting started and what keeps you on the right path.

Hey there! Welcome back. First, I suggest you add a little cardio to each day. Personally I do 10 minutes of abs every morning. Small but very, very effective. (crunches, sit ups, leg lifts, 6 inch killers, bicycle crunches, and/or cherry pickers). Second. Look for substitutions. If you list your fav munchies I'll look at them and see if I know of anything to sub. For instance, Special K chips for regular chips or a yogurt / low fat whip sunday with cereal topping instead of a regular ice cream sunday.

In any case, keep trying =D
