I am a member of many sites, including being an administrator for one, and I have never felt the need nor desire to cheat on my wife.     I think that they are a fine source of entertainment and a great way to meet new people and expand your horizons. However, I do think that some people get so wrapped up in it that they develop a preference for online communities and become a little too removed from real-life experiences. A healthy balance between the two is good, in my opinion.
