Help! What am I doing wrong?

Hi everyone.
I've recently bought a pretty decent rowing machine, and have been using it most days for 30 mins at a time.
Thing is, i feel FATTER. And its not muscle gain because i actually feel flabbier. I've gone up a dress size and it's completely frustrating
FYI: I'm currently 5'5 and weigh around 9 stone 4 lbs, usually a size 10-12 UK clothes.
I've always been a fussy eater and to be honest, I HATE veggies. I can tolerate them in soup but the general texture of them in their proper form makes me feel sick. Surely though, even eating the same and exercising i should be LOSING fat not gaining it.
I'm pretty clueless when it comes to healthy eating and exercise so any advice would be nice
