Weight loss, no waist loss..?

Over a year or so I have dropped from 198 lbs to 172 (27 lbs loss) very disappointed to find I have lost nothing from my waist, which used to be 32" and is staying at 36" Does anyone have experience of this, is the waist the last place we lose fat? It's a bit depressing, that's all. Watching the calories, working out, actually losing quite a bit, but the place I wanted to tone up the most isn't moving....

Many people say "first on, last off." If your belly is the first place you gained fat (as it is for many people), it could very well be the last place you lose it. Just keep up the hard work and you'll start to see some loss around your belly as well.0
