Does sugar make you grumpy?

I have been avoiding sugar as best I can for several week - passing up on the treats at work, for example.
However, over the weekend I had some sugary "treats" each day at holiday functions. This morning I feel grumpy and irritable.
Any body else experience this?

Oh yeah - when I tried Atkins 10 or so years ago, I was absolutely miserable for the 1st week while my body adjusted to a much lower sugar intake. I was super irritable and even had some digestive issues. Felt more like PMS than anything else!0

I'm feeling grumpier AFTER eating the sugar - not the days I left it alone.0 -

I guess you are a little grumpy - LOL j/k! My unspoken point was that your body is now recovering from the sugar increase from this weekend - therefore you are grumpy from lack of sugar. And it might take a few more days to feel back to normal.0
