Get ripped FAST

Hi! I have 3 weeks off (because I'm out of school right now) and I was wondering if anyone had a workout routine + relevant supplements for me. My goal is to gain some serious muscle in that time that I have off. I'd like it to be a full-body workout, preferably using body and free weights. I'd say that I am fairly experienced with lifting. I am prepared to put my all into it. If anyone had any suggestions that would be awesome.

:)

Well, 3 weeks isn't much time to build muscle. But full body lifting routines such as 5x5 or 5/3/1 are popular and effective.

You won't gain any significant amount of muscle in 3 weeks. If you're trying to lose weight during that time, you will gain no muscle. You can certainly lose a few pounds of fat in 3 weeks though. As recommended above, begin a strength training program.

Over at bodybuilding.com, they have plans for experienced lifers that are a few weeks, but not anything that's 3 weeks. Could you start an 8 week plan and finish it while going to school?

Lots of steroids. No, seriously. 3 weeks? That's the only thing that's gonna do what you want.

^ This. If you take both Injections, and pills along with HGH you may be able to gain 2-4 lbs in 3 weeks, provided you are also eating at a surplus with a **** ton of calories (surplus) while doing a body building style routine.

Yeah, that doesn't happen. Just find a routine you like and stick with it BEYOND the three weeks of winter vacation.

Aww, and I was hoping to see a gif of Wolverine tearing through something at high speeds. That's the only way I know how to get ripped fast. :-(

If you are fairly experienced you might get lucky and gain a full pound of lean mass eating at a surplus and doing a hypertrophy routine.

If you are fairly experienced you could probably maintain your lean mass while losing maybe 1% body fat eating at a slight deficit.

Three weeks is not very long. If you want to get "ripped" that's months or years of work.

    Google MFT 28, bodybuilding.com.

It will be difficult but you'll see some Visable change in three weeks, but like the others have said there is only so much progress that can be done in that time.

3 weeks to build is not a whole hell of a lot of time. You MIGHT gain a pound of LMM at best in that time.

I already have a fairly decent amount of muscle on me. I don't expect to look like I've been doing roids obviously. I guess I just wanted a program that was pretty intense so I could use those 3 weeks I have off to my benefit. And I will continue working out while in school (just as I have been) but it wouldn't be AS intense as during my time off.

In terms of muscle growth and/or maintenance, a heavy freeweight program is going to be the most efficient and have the largest impact.

Some hybrid strength/cardio program will be better at making you exhausted and sore, but less effective at muscle growth.

    Thanks!

I checked out bodybuilding.com and created my own work out using some of their exercises and then some from different websites. I basically learned that lifting heavy with less reps is the best way to go, which is new to me (I always did less weight, more reps). Anyway, thanks for your help!

    what is your current routine?

I would say compound lifts .maybe do an upper/lower split where you are doing mon/tues wens - off/cardio thurs/friday that would be five days a week …

not really sure what that will do in three weeks but can't hurt..unless you are already doing this..?

I think you should totally find someone who has the kind of body that you want, and ask THEM what 30 day video program they used.

You say you have a good amount of muscle already. Maybe focus on decreasing your body fat % instead of gaining muscle in that time frame? Eat at a small deficit and lift to maintain what muscle you have.

Just a thought since this is what I am currently doing. 3 weeks is isn't enough time to gain any significant amount of muscle. :drinker:
