Holiday good and bad
What is your holiday good?
Your holiday bad?
Holiday good:
I love the holidays with my immediate family.
I love the adopt-a-nursing home drive I coordinate.
I love taking things to the SPCA and helping with the animals.
I love collecting money for the janitorial staff
I love making the decorations for the office party and propaganda for Habitat for Humanity holiday fundraiser.
Holiday bad:
I suck at dealing with people. Really, really suck at it. This part of the the holidays are he11 for me. Everyone wants me to go to this party or that party or stop by their house or whatever. I freaking hate it. When I do feel like I have to stop by somewhere people call me anti-social or snobby because I generally find a quiet corner and keep my butt there. Then people feel like they need to bring me into their conversation. Gaaahhhh!!
I try to be nice but after a certain amount of time I have no clue what to say, especially if I disagree with someone. I was brought up say something nice or nothing. Um, after a while it's a lot of nothing, especially with whiners. I grew up with very little (sometimes no food or heat in Indiana) so I have very little tolerance for folks who think their life is so terrible when they have so much. I do OK with the few folks I call friends, but really, most of the time these events are populated by folks with whom I do not want to converse. If you're wondering why I go, I could give a long answer, but bottom line is I'm guilted into it and I'm not even that nice...

Good : I turn into this cheerful, tradition keeping person. All the memories I build sledding, decorating cookies, decorating the tree, driving around to see the lights, etc... with my kids!
Bad: Getting off track with my exercise0 -

Yes, it's so hard to exercise at the holiday. I want to but there is so much to do, it's hard to fit in more than 20 minutes here and there.0
