Target HR

Hey all,

I am 28 years old and just got myself a Polar HRM. I did the setup and my "target zone based on the data i gave it is between 125-163 BPM. On the bike I can maintain just under 160 fairly comfortably, however I am also using Kettlebells as I used them alot before and found them a great tool.

My problem is when using the 'bells there is NOWAY I can keep below 163. For instance, today I did 11 minutes on the ketttlebells and my avg was 168 with a max of 187.

My theoretical max using 220-age is 192.

Would I be best to lay off the 'bells till I improve my fitness further and can stay within "the zone". Something as simple as a set of 12 double handed swings send me over the 163 marker, and I am having between 30 - 45 second breaks between sets.

Thanks for the advice

Simon
