HELP- pizza without crust

Today at work we're ordering individual 10" pizza's- plain cheese, pretty generic. This place isn't a chain, so I have no nutritional info available.

I will be getting a pizza, but will not be eating the crust. I figure there will be six slices. How would you go about factoring that in? What would the nutrition info be, do you think? Any help is appreciated.

Ugh! I'd rather not eat than deal with this, haha.

Oh boy...I could not even begin to tell you what to do about this other than your best estimate. I order pizza from this place that has "thin thin" pizza...very thin, no crust, wholewheat with sauce, cheese and green peppers..it is considered an individual pizza..the calorie count for that is 630...but when I tell you this pizza is thin it is practically see-through..but so damn good! So that being said, even if you dont eat the crust..the rest of this still has thickness...I guarantee its at least 800 calories...AT LEAST!

Why wouldn't you eat the crust? You mean the fat part at the outside, or any of the crust?

Just eat the pizza. Log it and move on.

If it was me I would enjoy the pizza crust and all and get on with my life. It's not that 'bad' of a meal. And I'm sure you can find something similar in the data base to log it. Don't obsess over not being 100% accurate, it's creates a healthy relationship with food.

You're just eating the cheese off the top?! Why even bother? I'd just log the pizza or just log some cheese and some sauce.
  • You have a couple options here:

Log it and consider the day a one off excess
Log it and work the rest of your macros for the day around it
Don't log it and pretend it never happened
Scrape cheese and sauce off crust to eat with spoon, be miserable & weird
Don't eat the pizza, eat the lunch you brought & planned for

I would opt for option 1 or option 5, personally. This whole past weekend though I went with option 3. :P
  • Ask if they can do a crust-less pizza. I work at a pizza place and we make them for people all the time. We just put the sauce then the toppings, and then the cheese in a metal tin and send it through the oven. They're really good.

This. If you really don't want to eat the crust, ask if they can do it without, or just eat the toppings and log the cheese and sauce, or beg off and order a salad.

Eat half of it -- including the very best part, the crust -- and add some raw veggies or something to the meal if half is not enough to fill you up, then get to do it all over again at dinner!! Double win :drinker:
