Protein and fat.
Replacing whatever sugary things you ate before with "healthy" desserts will do nothing to help you get over "needing" (wanting) the sugar.0 -
Fresh fruit is good.0

In, waiting for someone to argue that sugar is not addictive, therefore, there is no such thing as a sugarholic.0

Second vote for fat and protein.
If you over-eat sugar, it doesn't matter in what form the sugar comes in it won't be "healthy" and your waistline will still widen. Perhaps deal with your sugar addiction first? Then reintroduce moderate amounts of fruit while still getting most carbs from vegetables. It's amazing how sweet a bowl of berries are when one is no longer over-consuming sugar.
Edit: Whether one calls it addiction, dependancy, habit whatever, the result is the same. Why is it that in substance abuse treatment facilities they ration the sugar? So, yes, for some people sugar is addictive.0 -
Full fat greek yoghurt and some fruit.0
