Perception vs. Reality

Since January of this year I have lost around 30 lbs and have went down several sizes. I know I am smaller because of my clothes now saying small instead of large, I actually have hip bones that I can feel and people's comments. However when I look into the mirror I dont think that I look any smaller.

I know that some people with eating disorders can be only bones and skin and still see that they are fat, which isnt reality. Even the other day my boyfriend, who has recently lost weight, asked if he was "way too skinny" (since thats what his family says). To him he looks fine (I agree with him!).

I think that everyone to a degree must have some sort of distorted perception of their body and then there is reality.

What do you think? Do you find yourself in the same boat as me?
