hypothyroidism and thyroid issues

I had some lab work done yesterday and my thyroid test came back a little abnormal. My doctor explained it was still doing what it needs to do--but it was working very hard at it. It can be reversed, but I need to make some major nutritional changes. If not, I am definitely in jeopardy of having a hypothyroid.
Does anyone know anything about this?

By the time I went to the doctor I was hypothyroid with no turning back. I have been able to stabilize my meds by losing some weight and I eat a few brazil nuts every day for the selenium. I also found that a slight increase in protein and decrease in carbs (from MFP preset) works best for me.0

You may want to check out the groups for hypothyroidism.....I can't really help you as I have Hashimotos and was never in an "in between" state. What did your doctor suggest you do?0

I am going to be working on my nutrition and calorie intake and keep checking blood work to monitor.0
