Just to introduce myself. I am a 50 year husband and father of 2 daughters from Bristol England and I am looking to lose just a little weight so I think I am in the right place.
I am currently 188 pounds although those height weight charts say I should be a maximum of 178 pounds. Most people that know me laugh when I say I want to lose a bit of weight because from their perspective I am fine but that’s not the point is it. I am 5'10" and although I am pretty fit I just know that my bit of belly excess would disappear if I reached my target.
I have always worked out regularly but I have never calorie counted and it is more than 30 years since I was 178 pounds. I am going to do it slightly differently to the suggested way in that I am not going to run a calorie deficit but neither will I consume my exercise calories. That way my effective deficit will be my exercise calories which I think is quite a motivational way to do it. I think I can consistently expend 3,500 calories per week through exercise which should equate to about a 1 pound weekly loss.
Anyway, that’s enough about me. I look forward to posting my progress over the coming weeks and months and supporting as many of you people as I can with your own weight loss targets.
Best wishes…
