What is your best childhood Christmas day memory?!
Mine is going to my nan's at midday, all the family being there, having dinner at a huge table that needs extra stalls and poofs so everyone was on different levels...and then unwrapping a load of presents in her living room together

We used to arrive at my grandparents' house a day or two before Christmas, and my grandma would have always put out some huge, colourful fairy lights leading from the driveway to her house. As soon as we got in she'd give us a box of baubles, some snow in a can & stencils for the windows, and let us make the place as festive (and messy) as we wanted!
It never feels so great when you're older though, does it? Haha0 -
Going over to my Grandparent's house in our Christmas dress clothes on Christmas Eve, enjoying dinner, hanging out with my cousins (who now live in TX) and then opening presents, getting home way late and hardly sleeping in the next morning, we were usually up about 5:30 - 6:00 am - opening our stocking and enjoying our "Santa" gifts before waking my parents around 8am - a yummy breakfast of homemade cinnamon rolls, eggs, bacon, etc., before digging into a HUGE pile of presents - around mid-afternoon my other set of Grandparents would arrive and then there's be more presents! Sometimes we'd head over to their house instead of them coming to us, but then it was a TON of food, presents, and just being together...so miss those days!0

Both of your memories sound amazing! It's not the same anymore!! All my cousins live away, we don't talk on a regular basis, my Grandad isn't with us anymore and my grandparents moved out of that house 6 years ago anyway so we don't even see it. I'm hoping when I have kids and grandkids I can do the same for them, and just be on the giving end of the stick rather than the giddy little girl recieving all the presents :)0
