Protein Powder "For Men"

My boyfriend bought this ice cream flavoured protein powder that is supposedly for men and he hates the taste of it. We are now stuck with this huge tub of it and I'd be willing to try helping him out with it since I'm a lot more creative with cooking and smoothie making anyway but I was just wondering...

What makes it "for men"??? Is there anything in it that would be harmful for a woman to consume?? I can't imagine there would be but I figured I'd see what other people say.

I have no idea what could make it for men. Probably just a gimmick. What brand is it?

You know how Shampoo sometimes has "For Men" written on it?

    Yeah.

    It's like that.

    This is the one!

I figured it was a bunch of crap but the guy at the nutrition store looked at me like a talking llama when I tried to ask him about it so I appreciate the confirmation on here!

It's just ad BS. Looks just like any other protein blend on the market.

I was told whey protein is for men and it makes women bulky. Also that soy protein is for women only. As you can guess, this information did not come from the likes of a scientist. I lol'd for a bit.

That brand also has a "For Women" protein powder mix in a sexy hourglass shape, rather than a manly tub shape.

    Differences:
Men: Has multivitamin blend and slightly higher fat content.
Women: Higher percentage of protein (20g per 29g serving vs 32g per 55g serving), does not have multivitamin blend.

Gotta love the marketing but alright... I can still work with it a little at least then...
