Anyone have some new ways to make Irish Oatmeal?
I'm stuck in a rut with adding Rasians, Cinnamon, & Brown Sugar... what else can I do???

I like the stuff,,, but get bored caue I can't figure out what else to add.

So funny! I just had for breakfast this am...
    2/3 cup raw rolled oats
1/3 cup raw steel cut oats
    1/2 fresh peach, chopped
    1 tsp brown sugar
    1 tsp salted butter
    1/2 cup milk....
Mix and warm in microwave for 1 1/2 minutes then eat the other half of the peach later for a snack!

I am still full! So filling, and very fresh and "summery!" Hope you enjoy!

Ditch the brown sugar and add bananas, they get really sweet when heated up.

Living in Scotland, I was taught to cook it plain. Then, when serving, add just a bit of salt on top to bring out the flavor. Have a side bowl of milk. Take a spoon of oatmeal, dip in the milk, and eat. Then, the oatmeal stays hot, and the milk stays cold. Have eaten it that way for years. Thanks for the suggestions of adding fruit. Another use for blueberries.
