Opinions on what to give my girl track runners

They are middle school. I know some of the girls can't afford sports bras and running tights. I provide shoes/socks as necessary at beginning of season (I collect all year from clearance racks and let them grab what they want). Would it be weird to give them those for Xmas?

We are having a pasta end of pre-season/beginning of reg season dinner Friday with give aways. Do you think I could send home with them and tell them not to open until they get home so they aren't embarrassed.

I grew up in an abusive home and so I'm not very good with societal expectations so any input is appreciated...

Hmm. This might work. We're in FL but my hands get so cold when I run in Jan & Feb. Thank you.

a nice head band would also be nice - Lucy has them on sale right now in stores. I also buy from runningwarehouse(dot)com - they ship IMMEDIATELY for free and there are so many choices. I love light head bands that still cover the ears for the fall/winter (I live near Seattle - it stays in the 40s in general). The headband is the one thing I never do without when I run (outside or on the treadmill). Saucony drylete has several pony tail headbands.

Simple singlets or tech shirts would also work and you can find inexpensive ones (maybe not by Friday, unless you have some outlets c;lose by).

Thank you. Head bands might be especially nice. A lot of the girls have long hair and these would pull double duty...
