Tibial Stress Reaction

I got this minor injury from running. Doctor says I have to take 6 weeks off. I can go swimming, deep-water running and cycling though. I just want to know if weight lifting and walking for 30 minutes are fine for this type of injury. And it would be great if someone can suggest other exercises I can do.
