Itworks wraps?

Hi guys.
I've heard a lot about itworks wraps on instagram, and how it should firm and tighten you skin. I tried to look at some reviews online, but people either HATE the product, or work for the company, and are trying to sell it. So I'm asking y'all - is it legit? does it work, and how so? How long will the result last? has anyone tried it, and what can you tell me about it?

thanks!!

    Save your money.

    Agreed.

    My friend is using them...
..and I can't tell the difference!!! It's only a temporary fix mind you; you are better off exercising and having the right food intake.

my friend did it once and invited me to go with her and i was conveniently "busy" that day. i met her for coffee later and she was all wrapped up like a cute little sausage. we went jewelry shopping and had lunch. she never mentioned it again. she told me she'd share results so in the language of us that silence means it's a no go. it did however seem to have a positive impact on her jewelry shopping. she chose excellent quality things at great values from being open to the stores i took her too. i think being wrapped so tight made her more vulnerable to my suggestions and her pocketbook and jewelry wardrobe benefitted from it.

My fiance said that if they have to advertise that "It Works" in the brand....it probably doesn't work lol

That being said, my friend held a "party" for them and i went to try....I actually gained inches. The lady told me it was because i hadn't drank half my weight in water.

ok so i have actually tried them but i can say i'm not all that impressed :-( I'm sorry to say this because i did have high hopes for them but the truth is i didn't see much of a difference. Some of the before and after pictures are amazing! IDK if they just work really well for some people and not others but for me the results were pretty minimal. In fact I can show you the results if i can find the picture. Anyways there was a slight difference when i first removed the wrap. I did look a bit slimmer and tighter in my belly area, the results didnt last though.

I wouldn't waste the money. Good old fashioned diet and exersise seem to be the best way to go!

if you read the reviews... and they all say they hate it- that should tell you something- why read the reviews if you aren't going to believe it anyway?

Snake oil salesmen have been selling slimming wraps, and gels and creams forever. They have never worked. They won't work now. They will never work.

Save your money and do what you know: eat healthy, at a deficit, and move more.

Sorry guys, I know you all hate them, but I just bought some and here's why.

    1) Even if they don't "work", they encourage me to drink my 8+ glasses a day of water. (I know, stupid, but if it motivates me, it's worth $60 bucks to me).

    2) I am on my second wrap and doing 30DS together and have picture results of a difference and 1 inch off my hips and waist in 5 days. It may be snake oil, or just the exercise, but again, it's helping to motivate me.

    3) The last time I did them, (4 in a row), I and my husband noticed a VISIBLE difference in my skin, specifically my stretch marks.

    4) Honestly, when I do wraps, I (as a mom and someone who works full time) feel like I'm getting a little me time. I don't have fake nails, and only get my hair dyed about once a year, so to me, it's a little "luxery" that makes me happy.

To me, part of this process is seeing some results and staying motivated. I bought them to help "jumpstart" my effort this time. We all have different things that motivate us so please don't hate on the little things that we do to help us feel better. Also, I don't sell them.

And I will add, it is not a weight loss strategy, so don't buy them if that's what you're after. The company and the girl I buy them from also say that if you want "lasting" results you have to keep using them, so it can get pricey. The real deal is it's a MLM company, and there's a lot of people making a lot of money from all the distributors they recruit that are forced to buy $80 worth of product each month to be a distributor. This is why I am not one.

Right, I can't be arsed to google what it is. But I'm guessing it's not exercise and has little to do with fitness.

Is it that hard to put something in the appropriate sub-forum?!

....right I've googled it now. Magic potions are not fitness or exercise related. That's 5 seconds of my life I'm not getting back...

Going for a long daily walk would accomplish most of these goals as well.

I was subscribed to a few people who sold body wraps, not sure of brand... But, I always would think in my mind, and wanted to say something to them so bad on their page.... How are you going to endorse or sell a product when it looks like you need to lose a few pounds yourself!? LOL

But, I didn't want to be rude. I had to unsubscribe because I just couldn't take someone trying to endorse a product who was clearly overweight...by .... a lot....Like look at you? Doesn't seem to be helping your plights ladies! lol

I thought a lot about these as well ... my roommate tried it and they said it didnt work because she didnt drink the water. There is a girl on youtube that shows you how to make your own wrap with products that are inexpensive and easy to find ... I would start there if you really want to do it then spending that $60.00.

I cant say that I am interested in trying them anymore ... I was looking for a quick fix before starting MFP.

    DONT DO IT!!

My friend did it once and it's pointless. It MAY be good for a couple hours, but it's not lasting.

Probably, but then I would have had to spend more than the $60 on boots (the boots I have wouldn't work for this) and take the chance of being hit by a car sliding off the road and killing me. A long walk in Michigan outdoors does not sound motivating to me right now...to each his own.

    They do not work.

I used 4 of them because a friend gave them to me. Wrapping myself in Icy Hot, Prep H and saran wrap worked better.
