Almost a year in...

I started my weight loss on January 1st of this year. Not for a resolution...but because I noticed my "fat clothes" getting tight and I stepped on the scale. 262. My highest weight ever was 275 and I was creeping pretty quickly to that weight. I am now hovering between 205 and 210...which is fine for me. Im tall. I have muscle on me. The only thing that could still use work is my lil belly. But all in all I am happy with the progress I've made and the fact that I have been maintaining for the past six months using what i've learned on this site about eating correctly and not overdoing it. Anyway...where I was going with this...getting close to the holidays is SO crazy tough. Cookies and cakes and candy and beer and booze and good god. I started losing AFTER the holidays...it was super easy! Nothing to tempt me really. Now I AM looking forward to enjoying a lil of some and a lot of others...and i know that if I do gain a few pounds...i can get right back on the wagon and drop it with the help of you all and this site. Enjoy the holidays everyone. Eat some goodies in moderation and appreciate the time you have with your loved ones. Happy holidays, y'all! HOLLA!

Eating a few cookies and a glass of milk or a piece of cheesecake with cherries on top will not put 5 lbs on you overnight. So enjoy the holidays. Eat some food you wouldn't normally eat. Have that extra helping of glazed ham and another glass of wine. And when the holidays are over...you knock that **** off and get back to eating healthy...or "healthier". I know this sounds easy and may be harder for some than others...but these are MY thoughts...and what I will be doing. We only go through this life once...you have to enjoy yourself every once in awhile.
