Today is a new day. Over the past 4 months I have gained 20lbs. I don't know if it is because I moved to a different state on my own with my son and I've been depressed or something else. But it's time to get back on track. I need all the motivation I can get because I feel as if I'm addicted to fatty foods. I start my day off great but then I want something fatty in the afternoon and at night. Any suggestions?

Fat doesn't make you fat. An excess of calories do. There's nothing wrong with dietary fat (I love me some nuts and nut butter). Set a reasonable calorie goal, stay under your calories and over on your protein and fat. That's all there is to it.

If you find yourself wanting something sweet or fatty, go for a walk or exercise. Maybe eat and apple or a sweet fruit that is filling. I like to eat bananas. Keep your mind off your craving and eventually you will train yourself to ignore that craving.0
