Help ME !!??!! let me know...

Hi everyone!
So i started MFP about 3 weeks ago but last week was when i really started putting 110% into this. I have been counting everything i put in my mouth. I know im only about a week into this but i'm already amazed at how bad i was eating and i thought i was doing good!
I am allowed 1200 and i have been getting really good at keeping my calories to 1200 and making each calorie count.

My question to you all is this...

I am starting off small so that i dont overwhelm myself and give up so as of now i am just calorie counting. I know working out makes results come quicker but im taking one baby step at a time.

How many of you have had weight loss just by counting your allowed calories?

(( i just want to see if anyone has been sucessful in weightloss by just calorie countin alone))

    The first month I started- I just counted calories and lost 10lbs... now I have heavy lifting and counting :) In general it works for me.. but I also eat a lot :)

    I've lost 36 pounds over 3 months just by eating healthy whole foods (nothing processed, and no gluten) without doing any exercise. I'm adding strength training in during the New Year, but I hate cardio so I can't stick with it, lol. Good luck!

    Not necessarily 70-80% of weight loss comes from eating at a calorie deficit alone....exercises is like a added bonus. A lot of people loss weight just eating at a calorie deficit alone

    Well, I lost the first 25 lbs by changing eating habits only .......

    Then I started walking ...... lost another 10 lbs ......

    Then joined a gym ..... lost some more weight ..... still chipping away :drinker:

    Oh and I will add.... I don't eat "clean" with the exception of making sure my food doesn't hit the floor lol I eat the "anything I want", just not as much as I did before :)

    I lost about 25lbs by changing the way I ate. I started playing games on the kinect and lost another 25lbs. Keep up the good work... you will find something that works best for you.

    Counting calories does it for me. I exercise when I can, and try to fit in lifting weights a few times a week, but even when I don't get the exercise, I am losing weight.
