Any cheap milk alternatives?

I've given it many chances, but I have to accept that I just don't like dairy milk.
I do, however, need to get my calcium somewhere. I like almond milk, but it's so expensive. At ~4.50 for 2L, it's more than twice as much as dairy milk. I've also seen soy milk around, and it's often a bit cheaper, but I'm not enthusiastic to try it (dat dere estrogen simulator).
Anyone know any cheap milk alternatives? Thanks.

you can make your own almond milk with ground almonds. You can google the recipe and find it online. Almond milk was very popular in medieval England - used as an alternative to milk (refrigeration not needed), they also used to use ground almonds to thicken sauces, or use in place of noodles in soup (i.e. our modern diet is rife with grains/carbs - not like before in history)0

Rice milk is cheap. I'm not a fan but some people love it. Almond milk is not nearly as expensive where I live in Chicago. Are you buying from a health store? The Jewel (Safeway) by me sells it for the same amount as Soy milk, and there are barely more expensive than dairy milk
Oh, could you be looking in the refrigerated section? It's more expensive there. Look for the unrefrigerted almond milk which is cheaper.
If you make your own almond milk, just crush a calcium supplement and add while blending to make it calcium fortified0 -
You could just forget the milk and eat cauliflower...............

218 grams 54 calories and something like 120 grams of calcium if MFP is to be believed0 -
If you're just looking for calcium, my doc recommended I start taking Tums as a calcium supplement. They're cheap.0

Geez almond milk is expensive where you are! Have you looked at different brands? Sometimes the boxed stuff on the shelves that is the same exact thing in the refrigerated section of the store is cheaper and really is the same thing. Companies learned that people are more willing to buy the product if it appears that it HAS to be kept in a cooler... which it doesn't necessarily until its opened (like most canned goods etc.)
I love almond milk but there is also soy milk, and making your own almond milk like others have suggested.0 -

calcium-fortified orange juice
sardines with bones
cheese
some fortified cereals (both hot and cold)
and, as someone else said, antacid tablets like Tums (but store brands are generally cheaper)0
