calorie limit help?

I feel like I might have miscalculated my calories today ( I ate mainly bread, there isn't much to eat in my house until I shop tomorrow) but if my calculations are right I may have eaten a little over my daily goal. I did cleaning and a work out, but if I go over by a few calories will I gain weight? I've been trying not to get angry with myself when I eat my daily limit ( I usually aim to eat 1300-1400 a day) but for the past two days I've gone to 1500-1600. My limit is 1640, today I had 1670 but with the work outs I'm down to 1400 or so. I'm a bit worried I don't want to ruin my weight of course. Is it true that to gain fat you need to go 3500 calories over? sorry to ramble..

You are doing fine. It is not always possible to keep just on allowance as long as you are regularly about right all will be well. The more you get used to what you are doing the easier it will become.

I think macros are important as well as calories, so if you mainly ate bread and got limited protein and fat you might have some not so good results on the scale. it could be for lots of reasons though...bloating, water retention etc...not necessarily fat gain.

it's a day. start again tomorrow! have some protein and fat options in the pantry (tins of fish in oil, nuts/nut butter etc) to have stored for days you might be low on fresh stuff.

If you only went over a small amount, don't sweat it! Everyone goes a little over sometimes. As for the 3500 calories thing, it doesn't necessarily mean in one day. Say you're meant to eat 1500 calories a day, but instead you eat 1850. If you did that for 10 days you would gain 1 lb of fat (barring any other factors). So, even if you go to 1850 one day, it's not really going to have a huge effect. Don't stress about it, and just stick to your goals tomorrow. You'll be fine!
