Stomach comes out ALOT after eating/drinking ANYTHING?!

so a few years ago i was really focused on weight loss and I got to the point where my stomach was completely flat when I woke up without having to suck in. I still didn't have abs but it was flat. but after I ate something or drank something it would come out completely and really discouraged me. like all my dieting and exercise was for nothing.
since then I've fallen back a little and gained some weight and now I'm focused on losing fat and gaining muscle and being fit. my stomach is not completely flat when I wake up anymore (I'm getting there) but I still have the same problem. my stomach becomes super round after I eat. even if I eat a little.
I don't have abs (I'm working on it) so I'm wondering if that's it--that there's no muscle to hold back the stomach when it expands. I'm not sure if it could be a diet thing? like if I am intolerant to anything.

I don't know what exactly is happening to you but I can relate....but part of my problem is that I am obessessed with weight loss and focus only on flaws instead of positive changes. :frown:
I have abs but if I eat cheese/wheat/protein bar, I will be bloated all day long and it's such a horrible feeling. i am slowly learning how to ignore these temporary symptoms and try to focus on the good changes I am making.
If it was food alergy, writing down everything you eat and how you feel every day could help a bit to figure out what has triggered the problem, at least that was how I learned why I felt so terrible some days.
Good luck~0 -
I've been eating all these years without having any noticeable reactions to food. no one in my family has any allergies
is my stomach SUPPOSED to do this?!0 -
If you're thin, I think that's normal. I had a friend in high school who was very thin and her stomach would stick out a bit after eating. Hell, I'm not even thin (10 pounds away from goal) but I'm starting to notice that with myself! Pretty sure it's just a hang up.0

If you're really slim, you may notice when your stomach is full. But if you think it's abnormal, see your doctor.0
