Work out / exercise on lunch hour

Who works out or exercises on their lunch hour? How does that work out for you and what do you do? I am trying to figure out a way to get more exercise into my day. I already get up at 5:30am each day to get myself and the kids ready and out the door. Our evenings are so busy that by the time the kids go to bed, I just want to sit down and relax. (I know, big lazy whiner).

No, I know EXACTLY what you mean! It's hard.... Just recently I've started driving to a small mall about 10 mins from our office, walk for 30 mins, back to the office. I know that's ONLY walking and ONLY 30 mins a day, but it's 30 more than I get when a skip a day of working out! And I feel much better the afternoons I do it!0

I walk every morning break and if it's not too hot/cold outside, I'll walk for a half hour during lunch and my afternoon break. I love that it gives me a chance to get exercise while I'm more alert because I start to wind down once I get home from work and not always as motivated to exercise then.0

I am lucky that we have a gym in our office building. Also my hours are flexible. As long as I put in the hours and get the work done, my boss does not mind if I am absent from my desk for 1+ hours from my desk. I workout in this gym 5 days a week. 2 days a week, I take Yoga classes and 3 days I do Kettlebell workouts.

Now that school has started up again I have had to try to squeeze some workouts in on my lunch break. I am about 10 minutes from a gym, so I drive there, swim 30 minutes (burns over 300 calories if I go fast enough), take a quick shower and head back to work. It takes right around an hour. I also have some nice hills to ride my bike on near work so I'll occasionally bring that to work also.0

I've started going for a quick 10 minute power walk during my lunch break (I only get 30 minutes). I'm finding it definitely gives me a burst of energy for the afternoon, and I'm not as exhausted when I get home either.0

I walk over my lunch hour. We go about 4 miles and finish in about an hour. I just can't bring myself to get up at 5am to work out before work and after work there's always things that come up so working out over the lunch hour works great!0

I am a bit lucky in that I am self-employed and work contract from home so I have a wee bit of latitude in the length of my lunch hour. And my gym is only about 5 mins drive away.
So I do my weight training program at lunch time. Ironically some of the most torturous weight programs I do are only about 45 mins long. Right at the moment I'm doing slower hypertrophy training so I need that bit longer. Sometimes I whizz back in the evening for abs/cardio stuff if I can't fit it in.
But basically, if you are close to a gym, you can pack a lot into a lunch hour. Speaking of which.. in 30 mins time it is half an hour boxing for today's lunch. Yum!0 -
I have found that I can just as easily do a 30 minute conference call on my cell phone while walking outside instead of sitting behind a desk.0

I try to walk on my lunch hour. I get an hour and generally end up with about 45 minutes to walk briskly through the very pretty cemetary down the block. The problem that I have is when I don't bring lunch. If I don't bring it, I have to go home... And that takes the whole hour. This require getting up earlier in the morning to prepare the lunch... And sometimes that just doesn't happen! So somedays I skip out on that and work extra hard that evening. I don't see the lunch walk as a mandatory thing. Just something I do if I have the energy and time!!0

I walk on a small track near my office but only for 20 minutes. Most days I'm up at 4:30 to do 30-60 min of cardio.0
