    Ehhhh....
  • I just found where you turn it off in settings too! Easy and should solve my dislike of the comments on statuses that I have commented on.

Happy to share since the OP maybe didn't give quite enough info. Today my phone is blowing up with notifications. Every time someone comments on a friends' post after i commented on it, MFP notifies me. I don't care for it either.

Checked Settings. Don't see how to turn it off. For the poster who figured it out : care to share?????

Hope it works. I went to my Settings>Change email address/email preferences
and only have "Sends you a friend request" checked but I am still receiving notifications on my phone every single time someone comments on something after I have. So it doesn't seem to be working as intended. I did some checking/saving/unchecking so maybe that will fix it.

    Oh how true.

I like the like, better than all the "good burn" "great job" and the like type of posts. As for being notified of replies after mine, I like that as well since the stuff I comment on are actual status posts like how someone is struggling, questions about diet or exercise, and this way I can actually know if the person responded without having to dig through all the other post going back to it. I could see it being annoying getting a bunch of those "nice burn" posts.

I've seen you in the forums...I agree that you used great restraint so I avoided the word "naughty" and went with "bad"!

I went to Settings - Change email address/preferences - unclicked the ones I didn't want (specifically when someone comments or reponds to a friend's status I've commented on) and clicked save. Haven't had a MFP notification since and believe it works. Just made a comment on a status that I'm sure others will comment on so I'm sure I'll see if it truly works within the hour.

I went to check that out. I was only to be emailed if someone accepted a friend request. Hmmmm. But these notifications have not been through email - i am getting them on my phone. Are they called push notifications? (Sorry even when i try to hide it my age shows!!????)

to turn off this particular feature go to settings then click the second option "change email address/email settings." it's in here to turn off notification emails. good luck!! I also agree that this is unnecessary.
