Before/After photos...did you all take some?

Today is the day I return to a lifestyle that includes regular exercise and more deliberate food choices. I'm sipping some "fuel" (coffee) and am about to do my first Ripped in 30 workout.
While I'm skeptical that 30 days will be enough time to see any impressive results I have to admit that I was so inspired by before/after photos when I went searching for a DVD to use to "kick off" my lifestyle change that I'm wondering about taking some. Whether I post them or not will depend on whether I actually make some changes worth posting (good Lord I hope so!!).
Hmmmm...what to wear though. I guess I'm going to opt for some jeans I wore when I was in the shape to which I'd like to return (about 5 years ago so no...they are not my "teen jeans"! LOL). I wonder if I can even zip them though. Guess we'll find out later.
So I'm curious...did you all take some photos? Did you post them? At what point did you decide you'd made enough change to want to post them?

I have a before photo (can be seen in profile photos) and have a after photo. I am still in the process of losing but take photos along the way.
Haven't posted them in any forum but keep them in my profile.0 -
From reading many posts here on MFP i decided to take before photos - wearing my skin tight shorts, and gym bra/top. I took from the front, side and back. In hind sight, i wish i had taken some better ones of my arms.
Since then i've done the 30 Day Shred, added elliptical and stationary bike workouts to my workout routines and have also begun Jillians Body Revolution.
Although there hasnt been massive visible changes (ie. havent recieved any comments from anyone other than hubby), i have noticed alot of small changes in myself: looser clothes, tighter abs, no more back aches, growing biceps, more flexibility and just greater definition in my legs, stomach and arms. I have been taking photos every 3 weeks or so, to keep me motivated and i definately recommend it0 -
I'm doing the 30 day shred and I have before photos and my measurements. Each level is 10 days so I plan on retaking measurements and photos every 10 days.
In the photos, I'm wearing my underwear. No tight jeans that will pull my thighs in even a little and no top that'll disguise even a tiny bit of my stomach.
I've taken them from the front, side and back and will probably post them once the shred is over.0 -
I have a before after photo but I don't know how to post in forums. lol0

I have taken TONS of before/after photos. Comparing them is a huge motivation for me. I have taken them in my athletic clothing, normal clothing, naked, bra and panties, jeans that I hope to fit one day, jeans that are too big.. lol. I have a few in my photos and I have posted the first one after losing my first 20 lbs. I normally post a new one when I think the change is drastic enough, or when I simply feel proud of what I have changed!
Congrats on starting, I have heard of good results from ripped in 30. I am sure that you will do awesome!0 -
I've taken photos every month. I don't really post them because they are in a bathing suite or underwear. I put them on a side by side comparison for myself to look at.
From one month to the next, its hard to see anything different. But take the first one I took, and the most recent and it is so obvious.0 -
I have before and afters, and I did post them awhile back, but they are more of before and during because im not where I want to be yet, I wore sweats or yoga pants in them. they are great motivation0

I have a set of photos that I took a few weeks in, from the front, both sides and back. I take new photos from time to time and certainly plan on taking some after I reach my goal weight.
I also have a separate set that I never ever intent for anybody to see, where I am naked. Not the worlds greatest site but it did enable me to appreciate my body more - but like I said those are for my eyes only.0 -
I just posted some today on my profile for a 4 months post-op. Pics are good but it feels even better to pull a shirt or pants out of the closet that I couldn't wear for 10 yrs (Yea, I know I'm a pack rat) and they fit great again. Now I have a new/old wardrobe.0

I took a starting photo and have taken new ones every 10 lbs. The photos are in underwear, but conservative underwear in case I want to post them publicly. I keep them in a folder along with the photos that other people have taken of me which I'm always horrified about and look nothing like how I thought I looked that day. I visit the folder when I need motivation.0

I have a photo from the day I started, right after my very 1st workout. I unfortunately deleted the one photo that sent me to workout in the 1st place...the one that started this whole new me.
I took some photos through the journey but am yet to take one that I like now. I still see myself as fat most days despite not being fat anymore... it's all in my head now & so my own mind wont let me take a photo. I'm waiting for me to catch up to my body.0 -
No, nope, no before or after photos; and even if I did I would not post them on line. Clothes, scale, measuring tape, and how I feel is all I care about.0

Yep! While I like the "how my clothing fits" yardstick, and also took measurements, pics are are really helpful for seeing how you've changed in ways that might not show otherwise. I wear tight clothing or a one-piece swimsuit.
Posting? HA! Perhaps when I've reached goal :-)0
