I'm not a "low carb dieter" but I can't eat as many carbs as some people can because I have a sensitivity to something in wheat (not really sure what). And right now, I'm trying to lose weight. And I'm breastfeeding a 1 year old.

It's working well because naturally, I'm someone who thrives on a diet that closely resembles the paleo/primal approach. If I were someone who needed way more carbs, I think it would be more difficult.

Thanks, that makes a lot of sense, really Iam just studying the outcome for those that eat few carbs (for whatever reason) because everything I have been taught says too few carbs for anyone nursing will kill a supply. I do not understand the logic so long as mama eat enough calories in general and nurses frequently, also in the right kinds of foods. I am happy to hear a mom whom was able to bf for a year so far on a smaller amount of carbs.
