How to Survive the Holiday Eating!? Tips?

Soo we all know what time of the year it is! Being from a black family all of our holiday foods are practically made with lard, sugar and diabetes, but never the less so scrumptious! Not to mention all of the holiday parties with friends and outings. Is it ok to give in for the holidays, how do I strike a balance, or should I be deadlocked on my calorie intake. Other wise what are some things to avoid? What do you do, or any suggestions????:frown:
