Recovered Anorexic

Hi, my name is Becca.

Of course, since it’s (almost) the start of a new year, it’s time for a weight loss and health-oriented goal. I’ve had several weight loss goals in the past, which lead to a downward spiral into an eating disorder. The differences this year are 1. I’m going to try my hardest to stay healthy, 2. I will set a realistic goal, and 3. I will not give up over small (or big) mistakes.

I’ve decided to use MFP for support and accountability. I really hope it will help me not slip back into my self-destructive behaviors. I’ve recently recovered and regained all of the weight I lost (plus a little more). It’s really hard for someone with disordered eating to stay on the right track and not relapse, as I have many times before. I really want 2014 to be my year of healthy eating and healthy weight loss. Hopefully the support of everyone here will help me stay on the right track and help me change my life for the better.

I'm currently 5'5. At my lowest weight, I was 108 lbs. At the moment, I'm between 135 and 140 (I haven't been weighing myself every day). My realistic weight loss goal is 120 lbs by May 29th of 2014, it's definitely subject to change though. Thank you for taking the time to read this! I hope this community can help me reach my goals.

    You go girl!

Surrond yourself with people who support you and kick the *kitten* of anyone who doesn't.

I really do hope you succeed in healthy weight loss.

Feel free to add me as a friend if you would like. I am the girl who encourages chocolate as part of a healthy, balanced diet.

Hi I'm also a recovering Anorexic, so I understand a lot of the struggle with balancing a healthy lifestyle and looking fit without sliding back to destructive behaviors. I've been working on keeping myself healthy for the past 5 years or so. If you would like you can add add me as a friend. Good luck and stay healthy :)

hey becca (and jennysch84)! i've joined the ranks these last few days on MFP, also as a recovered anorexic. similarly, i'm hoping that the accountability and support here will help me to stay healthy and not become symptomatic, while still losing some of this extra weight i've gained since moving across the country a couple years ago. i'm definitely going to add both of you as friends! and anyone else out there should feel free to add me as well. :) the more support the better!

stats, in case anyone is wondering:
    - H: 5' 8.5"
    - HW: 163 (september 2013)
    - SW: 146 (december 2013)
    - GW: 115 -- most likely once i actually get down to 115, i'll start increasing my intake slowly so i maintain more around 120. we'll see!
    - LW: lower than healthy, but not going to say exact number as i don't want to trigger! (august 2007)

    xoxo

Hey there sweetie, I am a recovered anorexic as well, I'm 5'8", female, and used to be at 99 lbs at my lowest. I'm 135 lbs now and using MFP as an accountability tool as well. If you ever wanna chat or are feeling down, or helpless, anything, just shoot me an inbox, you're not alone!
