Feeling run down?

So the last week or so I've been feeling compleatly run down, like all I want to do is take a nap or be a couch potato. No energy, stamina and imo not as hungry although I'm craving 'bad' foods. My diet hasn't changed (open diary) but I did start going to the gym about 2 weeks ago. Any ideas? Suggestions?

Did you change your eating habits when you started going to the gym? It might be that while you were eating plenty for a less active lifestyle, it may not be enough for your gym-going lifestyle, and it's making you feel fatigued.

Or, it just could be that time of year. My energy levels falter in the winter. Sometimes you do just have to push yourself.

    Its because your 30.

Once your over 29 everything starts to break down. Welcome to the rest of your life.

Also maybe starting a new workout routine might have an affect on you.

I don't do heavy work outs just walking and biking not usually burning more then 200 cal. So no I haven't upend my diet because I'm not burning significant calories. I also haven't lost any weight since I started going to the gym, which is kind of off for me because I usually see a gradual drop from week to week. I live in fl so even though it's winter we still have 80 degree weather here.

    Your diary isn't open.

You need to increase your food, even if it's just 100 calories on workout days.

As for no weight loss since you started exercising, that's normal. Give it time.

Are you sick? What is your iron intake looking like? B12?

Is it just laziness brought on from a new routine? Resistance to change?

    It happens . . .

ETA: It could be the low calories but that's only if you're really weighing everything and the count is accurate. Caution there.

I can tell you right away. You're not eating enough. You should be eating a MINIMUM of 1200 calories, and you're not even doing that. Your goal shouldn't be to eat as little as possible. It should be meeting the goal that MFP sets for you.

Up your calories and you will have more energy.

I agree. Unless there are some snacks you aren't logging, you need to eat more. You'll be tired as hell if you don't eat enough! I remember the first time I realized just how important food is...I was about 20, living in Europe for a semester, had been running all over Paris and barely eating. I sat down at a cafe, ate some food and literally felt the energy moving through my veins as I digested it. Weird sounding, I know, but really true.

Nope not sick lol just tired. I've noticed my iron and calcium intake are only at about 50% of what they should be. I haven't checked on b12 but I'll check that now. I know my calorie intake is aprox 200 cal to low every day but my sugar is usually double what it should be and I'm unsure how to up my calories without adding even more sugar to my diet. Even healthy sugar

Stop labeling foods as good or bad.
Unless you have a medical reason, there is no reason to stress about sugar numbers. (Sugar is a carb.)
    Set reasonable goals.
    Be patient.

Now that I read your diary, I'd like to change my answer to. "You are starving yourself, eat".

Unless you are diabetic or have some underlying medical issue, you don't have to track sugar. You can go over the sugar macro with a single piece of fruit.

Worry about your calories first before you start worrying about your macros.... except protein. Get alot of protein.

Eat more food. That will perk you up in a heart beat.

Yes, Yes, yes, it goes against the grain to eat more to lose weight but if you look at my diary and my ticker you can see that you can lose weight while still eating loads of food. Most days I chow down 1800-2000 cals (yesterday not withstanding) and I lose plenty of weight. Like 1 lb a week. I am even trying to slow down my weight loss by eating even more and still losing like crazy.

You can too. Eat more food. Your energy will be more and you will lose.

Sounds like you need to eat enough to fuel your body.
So make a nice meal of meat, veggies, slice of bread, a moderate dessert and hot drink. Avoid overeating at this time, as you may feel an urge to overeat after UNDEREATING for a period of time.

This. I also read through your diary.

If you logging truly reflects the amount of calories you are eating, then you are eating way too few calories.

Once you up your calories and eat back your exercise calories (your exercise log looks accurate to me), you will begin to feel more energetic.

Now much are you trying to lose? I ask because if you have a lot to lose (40-50), 2 pounds is good to start. The closer you get to your goal, the slower you want to lose weight so that maintenance will not be such a shock to you with the calorie increase.

When I first started on my 33 pounds loss journey back in May, I was eating 1,200 calories and eating back none to few of my exercise calories, and felt horrible. Once I began eating back exercise calories, I began to feel terrific. Now I eat more or all my exercise calories back even though my base calories are 1640 to lose .5 pounds a week.
