I saw this on facebook, and I LOVE it. I love that at the end she says you're not fat, you're so much more than that. I hate that when I say I'm fat others say no you're not, because I know I am. I accept it and I'm changing it. I'm obese, and I wear a size 18/20. So what?0

Interesting video. I have never felt or believed i was anything but fat and gross when i was heavy but, my husband always told me otherwise. Hard to believe when most of society looks down at you . I dont deny i was fat.....but i always was so much more than ppl saw.
@ Alupinski......You are beautiful in that red dress.....i started out at a tight size 20 so dont ever give up on your dreams. Keep making yourself healthy ( i prefer to say that than skinny) because that is the bottom line. One day at a time , do something your future self will thank you for.0 -
@live - Thank you. That red dress picture was when I was a size 26 and 305 pounds (or more!) Working my way back down, and super happy about that!
My frustrations are that many guys either like BIG girls or they like little girls. I'm in a tough place right now because the guys who like big girls don't like that I'm losing weight, and the guys who like little girls don't like that I'm not little. ./sigh. Men0 -
@Alupinsk I agree, the red dress..OMG!! Gorgeous!!! And *kitten* the guys who don't like you because you're in between, you're beautiful no matter what, and any guy that can't see past your size and into the true you isn't worth wasting your time on anyways.0

you are not fat you have fat
you are a complex worthy human being
I try to remind myself of this when I feel like the ugliest fatest thing in the world
this is a great thread0 -

^^ Agreed. Don't lose weight (or stay bigger) because of anybody but yourself.0 -
Oh, also LOVE Jennifer Lawrence and the non body-shaming message she sends out. I don't quite agree with the whole "illegal" aspect of it, but I agree that we need to teach our younger generation that it's not OK to shame women for their body.

Oh, so true.
When a very popular boy fell for me in high school, no one believed it. I'm assuming because I'm not a size 4.
If I begin seeing a guy that another girl who is skinny is interested in, I already know comments on my weight are going to be made.
People are cruel, that's why every girl needs a strong group of encouraging best friends.0 -
It's sad that in our society weight & love should have any correlation at all. I have a cousin who's always been incredibly overweight, when we were in high school she started dating this guy named Brian, he was very handsome and popular and I must admit I was very jealous that Theresa was dating him as I'd had a crush on him for quite some time. What I (or Theresa) didn't know was that Brian had actually been dared to go out with her and there was a money reward if he stayed with her for more than a month. Turned out Brian actually liked her, a lot, they ended up being in a relationship for almost two years. Until Theresa found out that he only ever even gave her a chance because of a stupid dare, I mean who in the hell would date a fat girl for any other incentive than money?! She was understandable angry! We're now both in our 30's and she still hasn't ever been in any sort of committed relationship since then, she doesn't trust her heart with anyone anymore :-(0

That's a douche move. She should try dating again. Not all men are that crappy (I hope at least).0
