Should i do ab exercises?

I've heard from a few people that i shouldn't do ab exercises as i still haven't gotten rid of most of my belly fat. I don't really understand what they are saying because it's worked with every other part of my body. The problem is for me is that i am starting to loose more weight than i want to and look a bit skinnier than i want to in some places...So i guess the question is...how can i turn my belly fat to muscle without really losing anymore weight elsewhere? Any advice is great

Sounds like you want to lower body fat percentage at this point. Unfortunately we can't spot reduce, so doing all the ab work in the world isn't going to take the fat off your tummy - fat is defiant and comes off where it wants to come off, and seems to take it's sweet time doing so!
And there is no "turning fat to muscle" one doesn't become the other. There are muscles there already, lower body fat percentage and you'll be able to see them.
A small calorie deficit has been my best weapon in losing fat. I've hit goal weight, I've dropped sizes, but I still have a bit of fat to lose, yep, on my tummy & butt.
Are you using MFP's settings for your daily calorie goal? What is your weekly loss goal set to? Do you meet your daily goal, or come in over or under? What do you do for exercise?0
