Have any of you tried it? There had been a hydroponics store in town but it was later closed because a bunch of people were terrified that the equipment they sold might somehow get used to grow pot - entirely possible, but now I don't know where to get started. I'd like to grow some soybeans, tomatoes, green beans, peas, and lettuce. I'm realizing with student loans coming due I'm going to have an ever decreasing budget and indoor growing seems like a viable possibility because plants tend to reproduce themselves. And even if they don't, seeds are pretty cheap.

I need to grow enough food to feed myself and the occasional guest. I've looked into aerogrow because supposedly the lettuce alone grows so quickly that you need to eat two salads a day if you live by yourself. However it seems kind of pricey.

I haven't done it. I think it's cheaper to watch the sales than to grow your own food. Your own produce will taste better.

    Best of luck
