Motivated to lose

Hi all!

I live in St. Louis in my late 20's and am trying to lose weight. I'm the one that can go for awhile lose, feel good about myself, and then crash. I weight 175 and would like to get down to a healthier weight. Don't really have a number but when I feel happy. I started running 5ks and have 8 under my belt. Will defiantly run more when it starts getting warmer. My hope is by then I'll be in better shape so I can run longer and improve my running time. My main issue and the reason why I gain weight is when I feel sad (not depressed), or when I'm stressed. Trying to break that has been really hard. I would really like to find some people or a small group so we can keep each other motivated and maybe help each other through times where we want to eat what we shouldn't.
