What is your eating style? How do you feel about it?

This is a literal question:
What is your eating style?
Has to be at the table only, "proper" meals only, standing up, in the car, at the computer, 6 times a day anything you feel like having no ridged healthy meals rules, fast, super slow, alone, with others, no utensils, portioned out ahead of time or intuitive based on appetite as it announces itself any and all.
What do you require to feel comfortable?
What do you find helps you stay on track?
I'm hoping to learn from any and all shares how people work their lives to coordinate both personal things like "I like to sit down" or "I like to multitask" or "I like to eat 6 times a day" with the rest of the variables factors and responsibilities in our lives.
Cheers!

We now eat in a combination of intuitively within the boundaries of several intolerances and food restrictions, due to diagnosed health conditions.
When we started out we basically counted calories but did not change much about the basis of our diet in regards to breads, pasta other more highly processed foods, even tho within quick time we realised that with our health problems a change to gluten free was necessary. As a bonus this also freed up many more available calories to enjoy in other ways as these foods are very calorie dense.
We did start out substituting above sort of foods only gluten free....this didn't work.....I struggled with the High GI levels and the cost was prohibitive. We then started to make products from scratch using alternate flour sources ie potato flour, rice flour, chick pea flour but abandoned that as well. We honestly just got sick of buying into what was for us the percieved need to these products in our diets. We don't miss breads, pastas and now we focus on vegetables, meats and fruits prepared and served in different ways and to be honest feel that it has expanded rather than diminished our nutritional intake.
We eat when we want....we don't have rules about where, utensils, how often and all the other types of practices that you have mentioned....they seem to add many restrictive and complicated rules and detract from the pleasure of eating....but that is just our personal opinion.0 -
I don't think of myself as being particularly regimented in how I eat but I sort of am. Of course weekend times may vary and I do eat in restaurants a couple of times per week. So this is general.
7:00 AM I eat breakfast, seated, at the dining table, with a plate, cup of coffee, flatware as needed, cloth napkin.
11:45 AM I eat lunch, seated, at my home dining table (I come home for lunch from work more than 90% of the time), with a plate, reusable water cup with straw, flatware as needed, cloth napkin.

You see a pattern. haha
I do not snack daily. But when I do it's either around 3 pm at work seated at my desk, or between 7-9 pm seated on the sofa with my husband nearby.
I do not eat standing up and I usually do not eat in my car. Maybe once every 2-3 months there will be a RARE occurrence of grabbing a donut and having it for "breakfast" at the start of a road trip (in the car). For some reason I hate hate hate meals eaten in cars or not at tables, and I have never been one to eat in front of the TV unless it is a small portioned out snack. Then again that was true for me even 100 lb ago...so I'm not saying it's a weight loss tip. More of a personal quirk/preference!
edited to add...as for what I eat, I try to follow common sense and eat healthy food in decent portions with plenty of vegetables and whole foods. For one year I stuck to a pescetarian diet which was interesting to me. I still only eat beef, pork, or poultry once or twice a week and I do not cook it at home. I eat primarily pescetarian even now, including eggs, dairy, seafood, etc.0 -

Because I've returned to low carb, I find it easy not to snack. I generally eat two large meals a day now and maybe a piece of cheese between the two. From what I've been hearing, ending snacking alone might be enough to help me lose or maintain.
I feel relieved to not be constantly wanting to go back to the kitchen for something else to 'nibble' on. My version of 'nibble' generally refers to the family sized portion all to myself anyway.
But I do eat at my computer while doing other things. If portion sizes of meals becomes an issue I'm going to stop even that and try eating at the table like a civilized human.0 -
3 square meals at a the dining room table or sitting at a desk at work. Meals are substantial but I try to keep them on the small side. Small snacks throughout the day. I try to keep my snacks well portioned and healthy. (2 carrots, 1 oz peanuts, etc.) I have found that if I don't stop and eat something when I feel *really hungry* I will binge and give up on calories for the rest of the day. I am not diabetic (I've gone to the doctor and had myself tested) but when my blood sugar is low I need food quick. Otherwise things really go south.0

I have absolutely no eating style. I eat whenever, wherever and whatever I want (except fake and real sugars).0
