As many of us know, annual holidays have a way of sneaking up on us without advance warning and no way to have planned for it. Tricksie little Holidayses! This leaves many in a panic as to what to do about shopping, dinner, and most importantly, eating.
But there is hope!! The power of math shall save you!!!
Christmas only happens once per year, that is 1 of 365. That means you will have had to eat more than THREE TIMES your normal calories just to have a 1% impact on the year.
Not sounding so bad now, right?
That means a person consuming 1,200 calories normally can eat more than 3,600 calories. A person eating 2,000 calories can eat more than 6,000. And me, at 2,500 calories, a very manly 7,500 (Challenge Accepted).
So eat, drink, and be merry. Then get off your butt and go to the gym after New Years, slacker.

I hate to admit this, but I've never had alcoholic Eggnog. Which booze are you supposed to put in it? I can just buy it at the store and add booze, correct?0 -
I'm going for the manly range, lol. Mostly in wine.0

Yup!! I am not sure either. I think it is rum, but I say be a rebel and put your favorite in there. You have to do what works for you.0 -

I've been eating at maintence the past week and expect that to continue at least through New Years. Yes weight loss is my ultimate goal but it's only a couple weeks out of the year and some times taking a break will give you renewed energy and dedication.0

I agree. Even if you dont take a couple of weeks, at least a few days to recharge is worth it.0 -

This does not work for me. The more booze I have, the more I want to eat! My husband knows to cut me off when I slur out a demand for Cheese Itz. If I drink more after that, it never ends well. But it's one day, enjoy it while you can!0 -

I had decided maintenance was my goal for my vacation...from December 19th-Jan 6th...but to be honest I haven't got to maintenance most days...some days over a bit.
It's funny even this time of year I can't eat as much..I think my belly shrunk
And the whole drinking thing...Yah tried that too...vodka and club soda doesn't dent it much...0 -
