End the year with a bang with this timed challenge. I will be doing this on 12/31/2013.
Exercises:
Weighted squats (use a sandbag, dumbbells, barbell, bodyweight only, etc)
Pushups (military style, on knees, one-arm, etc)
Sets: 13
This will be a timed challenge
Complete this Challenge by "counting down/up" for 13 reps. Alternate squats and pushups. One exercise will be a count down while the other will be a count up. Here is how it will go:
Set 1 Set 2 Set 3 Set 4 and so on for a total of 13 sets
Squats: 1 Squats: 2 Squats: 3 Squats: 4
Push ups: 13 Pushups: 12 Pushups: 11 Pushups: 10
Set your timer and see how long it takes you to complete this workout. Try not to take any breaks between sets (since you are trying to do this for time). But don't kill yourself. If you do need to rest, take as short of a rest as possible to get some cardio benefit. Note: by the time you are done you will have completed 91 squats and 91 pushups!!
If you do this, post your time in the comments. I will be using my #25 sandbag for the squats and attempting to complete all of the pushups military style (not on the knees).
I will be posting the 1/1/2014 challenge after the Christmas Holiday.
