Weight loss with tattoos

I'm looking to lose 40-55 pounds. I'm worried my tattoos will start to look bad as I lose more weight. Does anyone have experience losing a similar amount of weight with tattoos? Does the weight loss morph them beyond the point of reconnection? Or do they just need a little touch up afterwards? I have invested a lot of time, money and not to mention pain into my body art and I want to make sure it still looks good when I'm done losing.

For the record, I have a full back piece, one small one on each of my shoulder blades, one on the outside of both of my thighs, one on the top of my thigh, one on the outside of both of my calves and one on the back of my calf.

Do I need to worry about these? Is there something I can do to avoid them from morphing?

I have one on my upper hip and it looks fine, but I do have stretch marks that go through it. You just can't see them under the tattoo. They seem to start before it, stop, then keep going after it, LOL.

The tattoo itself doesn't look smaller now or anything.

It depends on where the tattoo is, how much you have to lose, and your age. I have them on my back, outer thigh, and shoulder. They are fine. Not places that are prone to loose skin. Now if I had one on my stomach it wouldn't look very good.

My tattoo still looks good but it is a completely different shape.
