31F looking for friends

Hi, I've been a grad student (psychology phd) for the last 4.5 years, and I'm raising a 7-year-old son together with my husband. I never really paid attention to my weight until it became a problem roughly around age 20.

I'm 5'7" (I swear I lost an inch since I've put on the weight!), and before I paid attention to it, which has been over the past 9 years or so, I always thought my weight was relatively healthy hovering around 175. Although I probably was technically a few pounds heavy even then, but I do have a larger frame and so I've never really trusted a lot of charts.

Anyways, I've just had it. And along with some other stuff in life, I'm coming to terms with the fact that I don't have control over this, but I want to. I need accountability and would love to add some friends for motivation and support.

SW: 242 at my heaviest
CW: 220
GW: 160

Btw, anyone have issues using this site with Chrome? It's really slow at times and I get random plug-in-type errors...?

    Hi,

You can definitely add me as a friend if you want. will be glad to provide some support :)
oh, and I'm not a big fan of charts, I think that the weight that you are comfortable in is great. Charts can be a useful guideline, but it's also good to remember each of us is different and has a different comfort zone weightwise.

I'm also a grad student so I know life in academia has its ....well... ups and downs ;)

Anyhow...good luck, this is a great place to get some support and motivation.

(I'm using chrome and it's fine. no problems so far).
