Hi everyone. I've been using the app for this site on my phone on and off for a few months. I love it. I dont log my exercise though. Just the foods. I struggle to get enough calories in (yeah I know weird) so this helps remind me to eat.
I have been working out with a trainer every week and making diet changes. In 7 months I have only lost 10 pounds. Slightly discouraged but at least its been a steady decline and I havent gone up.
Ultimate goal is to lose another 50 at least. I cant make short term weight loss goals because I never meet them. The weight is coming off waaaaaay to slow.
Well HI to everyone here. Just wanted to stop in and say hey

Hey there! I'm new here too, but not new to diet & exercise. I'm a nurse and with my 'limited' nutrition knowlege may I suggest that you may have a medical condition preventing you from losing such as hypothyroidism, polycystic ovarian or a metabolic syndrome. Especially if you've been good to follow your diet and exercise program closely. Also its possible that you may need to actually take in more calories (weird huh?) but when you drop too low you throw your body into starvation mode. Your body's primal reaction is to hold onto all it can such as in times of famine. Talk to your trainer about this he/she should know. And start putting in your workouts into MFP app, it add those calories back to you.........basically increasing your total calories to consume for the day!! Good Luck!!0

It would seem that I have some medical condition to explain but alas that was a dead end.
I know I eat waaaaay to few calories a day (its tough to get to 1000). Im just never hungry. That is my biggest battle. This app helps me though because he shows me just how few calories I have had. I feel full and have no desire to eat but I see that all I had all day was 700 cals and I know I need to find something to eat.
I've recently found the south beath diet protein bars are tolerable so when i am on the go and I know I need the food I grab one of those or the V8 V-fusion (acai blend) Isnt to bad either and its 110 calories of nutrient.
I like the support on these boards
Thanks for the suggestions. I'm going to go back to the doctor and have my blood work checked again in 6 months if progress is still slow. My trainer thinks that its just taking my body a long time to adjust. I have been in the starvation mode range for so long my body is confused lol. But I have stuck to it! I do the workouts, even when it hurts like h***, or I am tired, or..... (just fill in the blank! lol)0
