If I can lose another 2 lbs by 31st Dec this means I will end the year with no gain no loss. But if I dont lose it then my year will end in a deficit. I started this year with high hopes by joining the group pound a week and first 4 months went pretty well but then it has not been pound a month loss:( People are already talking about 2014 targets and looking at my 2013 performance not sure what kind of achievable target I should set for myself. What kind of targets are you guys going to set for yourselves?

I lost weight much quicker in the spring then basically took the summer off. Oops ;) In the fall I started tracking again but I don't do the outdoors work every day that I do in the spring, so it has been very slow weight loss since getting back on track.

I shoot for 1/3 lb to 0.5 lb a week and usually hit about 0.4 lbs (this is when I'm not outside all the time like some seasons). I track this with a spreadsheet and see which columns I fall between, lol. I'm still going to have that as a target for 2014 because it's been working really well and easily. I'll expect things to go faster during planting season again, but that'll just be a bonus :)

I have more like 10 lbs to lose than 6 like my ticker says, I think. I'm going to re-evaluate for the New Year and change it sometime soon.

I have no idea really what my 2014 target will be. It was to reach my goal before my birthday in July- but as I have recently been prescribed sterois based medication I have gained a **** ton of weight and am not sure how that is going to affect me in the long run.
For now, I am just ocussing on fitness levels for 2014. I wan't to be able to double my run distances by the end of the year (I hate running so I avoid it) - and I aim to develop a liking for the gym!
  • Since I began this journey in January 2013, I have lost 105 pounds. My goal for 2014 is to hit one-derland, lose my last thirty-fortyish pounds, and hit maintenance. The weight loss has slowed down considerably over the last two months, but that is to be expected. I just keep doing what I'm doing--logging everything that I eat and trying to exercise at least forty-five minutes a day. I want to continue getting healthier, both physically and mentally. I want to continue hiking with my boys, maybe even completing a statewide hiking challenge. I also want to run (not complete, but RUN) a 5K sometime this year.

I would say I'm pretty happy where I am at the minute. bang on 220 pounds which is good. For 2014, I want to lose another 25 pounds by May, then i'll be at my goal. Hoping I can lose about 1 pound and a quarter every week ( hopefully) until May.
