Does it give you a workout program that you can do with dumbbells? What about stronglifts 5x5? (and where do you find that one?).

Both programs use barbells. Stronglifts exclusively. NROLFW quite a bit though there are many dumbbell exercises as well.. Many of the exerices (squats, deadlifts) are simply not the same with dumbells. It would be possible, but less effective, IMHO, to modify NROLFW to only use dumbells. Stronglifts won't work.

I checked NROLFW out of the library. The only thing more boring than lifting weights is reading about lifting weights. LOL!

The part that confused me is that he says "put down those 2 pound dumbbells and lift heavy" but what if 2 pound dumbbells ARE heavy for you? :-) I don't know how to start a weight lifting program!

Your shopping weighs more than that. A newborn baby weighs approx 4 times that amount.

Put those pink dumbbells down and step slowly away.....
